For our wedding day, we mostly dealt with Curated Events through our wedding planner. We visited their showroom a few months before the wedding to pick out rental items with our planner. The showroom is really impressive and has a ton of options to make our special day exactly what we imagined. In the end, everything turned out beautifully, but there was one thing I’d suggest for future brides and families: pay close attention to the final invoice. We had a few changes via email before the big day, adding and taking away from our invoice. And for some reason, the curated events team made additional changes without us, approving or even explaining why beforehand. When it came down to the last week before the wedding, we had charges for higher pricing than what we had originally signed for when we gave a deposit months before. It wasn’t until we started really checking the numbers that we realized a few things were off. When we began the rental process, they told us to estimate more than we needed. But then when we got to the final week, they said we needed to have turned them in two weeks prior to the event or we’d have to pay for more than we actually rent. Which was never told to us, and wasn’t even in the fine print. Our wedding planner had been working with them on several events, and also had never been told this new deadline. That specific “rule” that they never stated beforehand cost us an additional $600-$800 for no reason. They also said only a few days before the wedding that they must be paid in full two weeks before our event to go on. But they also said that the final numbers were due two weeks before (which again we were never told) and we had to keep asking them for a corrected updated invoice for us to pay. Which they took until the final days before the wedding to correct and send. They also don’t offer ACH payments; they only accept credit cards (plus a card processing fee). When you’re paying on a large bill, that can be quite expensive. My family and I live in North Carolina, so it was a bit tricky to bring them a check right away. Like I mentioned before, everything turned out beautifully and their stuff was very nice. But just be careful to check your invoices and ask before you get close to the wedding. I will forever recommend Ooh! Events to all of my friends and family!! They are truly a one stop shop which takes so much stress away during wedding planning. Ooh! Events handled our rentals, design, coordination and floral for our wedding and everything was PERFECT. Emily was our wedding planner and kept us informed every step of the way. Planning a wedding during a global pandemic was rough but Emily constantly let us know of the ever changing rules and had a solution to everything and every issue that arose! She really saved the day when our original videographer canceled on us less than 48 hours before our wedding. Within HOURS (and very early in the morning!) Emily was on the phone with us and potential new vendors trying to book a new videographer. All of our rentals and flowers were BEAUTIFUL and exactly what we envisioned. Ooh! Events truly took care of every single little detail. Even things we didn't realize we wanted or needed! From having our ceremony and reception go off without a hitch (which is a miracle in itself), to having Emily and Caroline pack our "to-go" bags in our getaway vehicle so we wouldn't forget anything, to even making sure we had ice cold drinks all night long, we were in the best hands with Ooh!. Hiring this team was one of the best decisions we made throughout our entire wedding planning process.
