We had the pleasure of working with Sam for our wedding on 10/18. Planning a wedding can be a bit stressful in its own, but planning a destination wedding (we are from NYS) adds another layer to it because of booking vendors you are unfamiliar with, and have to trust reviews from random people. Our planners recommended Sam and we are eternally grateful they did! Music was a really important aspect for us, from the time the guests start arriving until the last song of the night, we wanted an emotional connect. Sam did that and so much more. Everything was done to perfection including how he faded music out for the processionals, and reading the vibe of the room when the dancing started. We had a smaller wedding (~80 guests), and we expected maybe half the guests to be out while the rest chatted in the quiet bar-lounge area we had at the venue. We were so wrong because that dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT! We are still getting compliments from guests on the music through the entire event. There have been tears listening to music over a week later because of that emotional connection that was created. Now we get to take pride in being the random review recommending Sam. So if you are looking for an average service, Dream Day is not going to be for you. But if you are wanting a memorable and personal experience, with a professional and detail oriented delivery, you will have minus zero regrets going with Dream Day.

Not sure where to begin other than DJ Sam and Dream Day Charleston are the best team out there! We had high hopes for the dance floor and quality of DJ and then blew all of those high hopes out of the water! No song breaks, smooth transitions that make you excited for that next song before the current one ends, snippets of those songs we all love a certain 30 seconds of but don’t know that rest of the song, didn’t play a single song we didn’t know, need I go on! Hands down the best wedding DJ not just in Charleston but everywhere! Don’t think of DJ Sam as a normal wedding DJ that sits there with a playlist and MC’s a little, think of him as the DJ of your favorite club, the one you think of when you see some of those viral song transitions. DJ Sam went about and beyond throughout the whole process, no hesitation to contact, works with you to get the night just how you like well in advance, the list goes on! We also had DJ Sam and Dream Day do our ceremony songs/ceremony and I received multiple compliments on the quality of sound, no windy noise, clear the whole time, not to mention my wife wanting the beat to drop of the song she was walking to to hit once she got to the top of the aisle(we had a little walk to the top of the aisle) and bam he hit it perfectly. We also had a live singer for cocktail hour and our first dance songs, we told him about it and he simply said say no more, I’ll take it from here. Never once had to question anything with him if something was or wasn’t going to get done, never had to question the quality, and once we heard his sound checks when we were finishing getting ready, everyone was pumped for what the night was about to bring! We can’t thank DJ Sam and Dream Day Charleston enough for everything they did. They kept that dance floor packed for just over 2 hours and 30 minutes straight. He strategically made everyone get up on the dance floor for a slow song and then pushed that into getting the dance floor bumping. We chose to go with the explicit version of all songs and not clean. He did an amazing job of not starting the night with a very explicit but we eased our way in which is what we requested and what he recommends. Give the grandparents time to adjust! Overall not a better wedding DJ in Charleston, simply the best out there and we can’t thank him enough!

Sam absolutely crushed it for our Wedding day. From ceremony to send off he nailed every little detail we asked of him. Adding the Live Sax was such a great decision. Davis was so awesome and kept the crowd entertained and energized as he interacted with the dance floor. Could not recommend Dream Day enough to any bride and groom. Sam and his company will not let you down. This was the only part of our wedding that we didn’t have to worry about at all! The communication and reminders helped keep us on track and the planning portal was super easy to use. Thank you so much!

Dream day Charleston was hands down one of the highlights of our wedding on Kiawah! DJ Sam was extremely communicative, professional and knowledgeable. DJ Nikko & Davis on Sax were amazing for our Reception! They were both so easy to work with and made sure everything was exactly how we envisioned the night to go. They kept the energy up all night and everyone had the best time! Could not have asked for a better set up and entertainment throughout the whole night!

DJ Sam was absolutely phenomenal! From the planning stages to the big day, he was a dream to work with—professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding unforgettable. The moment the music started, every single guest hit the dance floor—I’ve truly never seen anything like it! DJ Sam seamlessly blended our favorite genres and curated a completely unique playlist that felt so personal and perfectly us. Every part of the experience was thoughtfully tailored to our style and vision. Peep the venue uplighting… it really elevated the entire night! One of the highlights was his collaboration with Darius Stark, the saxophonist we hired to perform alongside him. The two of them together? Pure magic. Their chemistry and musical synergy brought an entirely new level of energy to the night. There are hardly words to capture how incredible DJ Sam was—he made our celebration come alive, and we can’t recommend him highly enough!
